Household

A single blended estimate of taxes on portfolio withdrawals ONLY - not a real bracket calculation, and does NOT apply to your Income Sources (Social Security, pension, etc.) below. Enter those as the after-tax amount you expect to actually receive. Leave blank to ignore taxes entirely. Consult a tax professional for your actual rate. If set, the "Annual Draw"/"Annual Withdrawals" column shows the amount taken from your portfolio BEFORE tax; "Shortfall/Excess" reflects what's left AFTER tax.

Person 1

The age you expect to live to - not years remaining.

Person 2 (optional - leave Current Age blank for a single-person plan)

The age you expect to live to - not years remaining.

Income Sources

Add any income either of you receives: salary, Social Security, pension, rental, etc. A salary is just an income source that ends at that person's retirement age.

Expense Adjustments

Add changes to your Estimated Annual Expenses that don't apply for the whole retirement - ACA premiums until Medicare, a mortgage payoff, a new roof. Use a negative amount to reduce expenses. Setting the same Start and End Age handles a one-time expense.

One-Time Contributions

Add one-time contributions (e.g., home sale, inheritance, asset liquidation)
